Each mix has a dairy-free alternative for those with a dairy allergy or intolerance.Starting with my top baked good seller, Bakerlita's Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie. My customers always raved about how my Chocolate Chip Cookies tasted better than the original unhealthy ones. I got asked how I got such a chewy texture without using sugar and gluten. The answer is simple, collagen!

Collagen made my baked goods stand out from most other keto and paleo (gluten-free & sugar-free) bakeries. Collagen is my biggest secret when creating a chewy texture in my baking - especially when making cookies, brownies, and anything with that desirable chewy texture.

Before we dig into these delouse chewy Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies, I want to share the value of my new Bakerlita Mixes. It is much more than just a satisfying cookie. In each baking mix, collagen contributes to a large portion of the ingredients because of its many amazing health and beauty benefits. First of all, I started eating and baking. This was due to my stomach issues. And collagen has been a huge contribution to the healing of my stomach over the past seven years. The list of benefits of adding collagen to our diet is endless. As I mentioned above, it heals the stomach. Collagen restores the digestive tract and intestines by rebuilding the walls. Collagen also builds and restores muscles, ligaments, and tendons. And a few of my favourite natural beauty-boosting benefits are that it helps grow strong and luscious hair, adds a healthy, youthful glow and firmness to your skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, strengthens your skin and nails.

Okay, I can keep going on and on - but when it comes to baking, it is the only heat-resistant protein that doesn't get damaged when used in baking/cooking. Once heated, other proteins create toxins, leading to more inflammation once ingested. This is another reason why baking with collagen is just straight-up amazing.

The type of collagen that Bakerlita Mixes are loaded with is Organika’s Collagen. It is the #1 selling in Canada. Organika's Bovine Collagen is grass-fedhormone and antibiotic-free and tested free of heavy metals. You can also purchase Organika's collagen on my website: https://bakerlita./organika

Each cookie has 4 grams of collagen in every cookie. Bakerlita's Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix makes 1 dozen (12 large - 15 medium) cookies.

Okay, Let's make COOKIES! I want to share my top 3 easy to follow tips and tricks to make the perfect chocolate chip cookie every time.

  1. It would be best to use soft, room-temperature butter (grass-fed). Using a stand mixer (or a handheld mixer), whipping the butter, sweetener and egg on high speed add air to the cookie, making for a lovely top crackle and spread to your cookies. NOTE: This tip also works with palm shorting and coconut oil for the dairy-free option.
  2. Adding the smallest amount of high-quality, robust blackstrap molasses immolates that beautiful brown sugar taste without the brown sugar.
  3. Collagen! That is an easy tip since it is already in the mix. All you have to do is carefully watch the step-by-step video and read the instructions thoroughly, and you will be pleasantly surprised what a wonderful baker you never knew you were. ;)

  10. Allow the cookies to cool completely on the trays & enjoy with a cup of coffee!
  11. Store in an airtight container for five to six days and freeze for up to three months.
