Benefits of This Beautiful Brown Bean

Did you know that CHOCOLATE  BLESSES you far more than just your taste buds? Truly, cocoa has many more benefits for your mind, body & soul!

EAT CHOCOLATE.

Yes, it's beautiful taste may satisfy you, but science has proven that dark chocolate produces that happy feeling of serotonin in your brain. When your brain produces Serotonin it acts as a NATURAL antidepressant & reduces emotional stress = MORE JOY!

YES, I EAT CHOCOLATE EVERY DAY!

Chocolate is known for that decadent treat that is only for times of indulgences. I guess I should clarify, cocoa is what I am talking about, not chocolate mixed with sugar and milk. Many of these beautiful benefits are due to their blessed polyphenols, which is a micronutrient.

Polyphenol is a natural compound with powerful antioxidant properties. Polyphenols are found in many of the plants, nuts, beans & fruits of the earth! Enjoying dark chocolate every day is good for!

WHY YOU SHOULD EAT COCOA EVERY DAY

  • Reduces Inflammation
  • Lowers risks of chronic disease
  • Prevents aging
  • Powerhouse antioxidant
  • Reduces Blood pressure
  • Reduces stress
  • Reduces levels of glucose
  • Increases Testosterone

Isn't it just wonderful that we can heal our bodies with a sweet treat! God has gifted us all ways to naturally bless our body through food, herbs, lifestyle & his precious word!

Blessings & Bake The Bakerlita Way!

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg Bakerlita’s Baking Beauty Mix
1/2 cup cocoa powder (organic)
3/4 cup grass-fed butter (room temp)
1 eggs room temperature
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp blackstrap molasses (optional)
2 tsp pure vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Open and add the entire Bakerlita Beauty Baking Mix into a medium bowl, add cocoa powder, baking soda and chocolate chips found in Bakerlita mix; Whisk until combined, and set aside.
  2. Cream butter in a large bowl with a stand mixer with a beater blade or a hand electric mixer, beat until softened, 3-4 minutes; the butter should become lighter and almost double in volume.
  3. Add ½ cup of Bakerlita Beauty Baking Mix, and an egg, vanilla, and molasses, and continue to cream for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining of the dry ingredients, beat again until just incorporated.
  5. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, scoop out cookies on a baking sheet, depending on the size of the scoop, 9 jumbo, or 12 medium cookies.
  6. Using the palm of your hand, slightly press down the cookie.
  7. Place cookies in the fridge for 20min to allow them to chill.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  9. The cookies will spread somewhat during baking, but you still need to pre-shape them
  10. (the more you pre-flatten them the more they'll spread = crispier cookies, so if you like them cakier just don't flatten them too much!)
  11. Bake for 9-10 minutes for smaller cookies and 12-13 minutes for the jumbo.
  12. Garnish with flaky sea salt and allow the cookies to cool completely on the trays & enjoy with a cup of coffee!
  13. Store in an airtight container for three to four days and freeze for up to 3 months.
